Latte Bay is a pop up cafe that was created and is run by the Cafe Culture Students. As part of the Year 9 Out of Classroom Learning Programs, a number of students have participated in the Café Culture Program. In this program students have learnt the skills of running a small café business. Not only have they been participating in decision making about the details of running a café, such as marketing and general set up but also with the production of food, delivery of coffee and occupational health and safety considerations. This program has equipped them with valuable, real life experiences to prepare them for work outside school but also provide them with life skills that they can use in the classroom environment. The students then elected to be part of one of four groups being Marketing, Business, Food or Decoration. The students have been working extremely hard for two weeks in order to prepare Latte Bay for operation, so we would love to see you there.
